ZX8035 is a compact, cost-effective analog interface IC designed for smart IC cards. It integrates an internal boost converter, enabling full read/write operation across the complete supply voltage range of 5V, 3V, and 1.8V. The device incorporates comprehensive safety protection mechanisms, including ESD protection, port short-circuit protection, and power-on/power-down protection. With its minimal external component count and simple peripheral circuitry, the ZX8035 offers a highly streamlined solution. Housed in a QFN32L package, it ensures broad versatility and compatibility for various contact-type smart card reader applications.
Key Features
All smart card ports are equipped with short-circuit protection.
VCC voltage source:
• With external 2 × 220 nF low-ESR capacitors, it provides 5V, 3V, and 1.8V outputs with±5% accuracy.
• Capable of delivering 120mA output current with built-in overcurrent protection.
> 8KV ESD protection at the card interface.
Power-on and power-down protection.
Internal threshold adjustment (VDDP)
external resistor bridge (VDD_INTF)
Compatible with standard bank cards
• Compatible with 5V, 3V, and 1.8V smart card voltages
• Integrated DC-DC power supply module supporting an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V
• Deep sleep mode with ultra-low power consumption
I/O interfaces with protection (pins C4, C7, C8).
Provides three buffered bidirectional half-duplex channels
When abnormalities occur in the smart card or system (e.g., short circuits, card removal, over‑temperature, reference voltage drop, or power supply dropout), operation is automatically stopped (or resumed) via hardware or software control.
Supports external clock frequencies up to 26MHz.
Synchronous control of the RST signal via the RSTIN pin.
Built-in debounce filter during card activation.
OFFN multiplexed status signal.
Smart card clock frequency is programmable via CLKDIV1 and CLKDIV2 dividers, with a maximum output of 20MHz.
Supports parallel connection via chip‑select (CS) signals for multi‑card slot operation.
QFN32L package (5mm×5mm×0.75mm, 0.5mm pitch) offering compatibility and versatility.
